What happened in Reservoir section:
It took a lot of force to stab 2 x wiper plugs and 2 x cup testers into the 7″ liner. These items are made up to bottom of 7″ liner RT on rig. Not able to stab in on first try, even after slacking off all weight of the 7″ liner hanger assembly (<2000 kg). Fastened sling to bottom of RT and used rig floor manipulator arm to pull downwards. Wiper plugs entered 7″ liner in rotary too fast, and 7″ liner hanger assembly above crashed into 7″ liner box in rotary. The shock set the TSP packer. When it was attempted to pull 7″ liner hanger assembly up, the RT came free and only it was pulled upwards with elevator and blocks. RT and 7″ liner hanger assembly was (after some planning), lifted off 7″ box in rotary, using tuggers with single jt pick up elevator. and the top drive, simultaneously. The back-up 7″ liner hanger assembly was picked up, this time the 2 x wiper plugs were put in a hot water bath beforehand. Managed to get wiper plugs in by slacking off all weight of 7″ liner hanger assembly, but this took 30 minutes and was very slow. Did not use top drive & elevator to ” hammer it down”.

What Was Planned

Run 7″ liner

What Actions Are Required

1. Send out liner hanger assembly with wiper plugs pre-made, by installing a 3-4 m pup joint in the ends. This would require a 18-20 m long basket. 2. Get another type of wiper plugs for tight 32 #/ft 7″ liner that will compress easier. 3. Heat wiper plugs in hot water before stab-in.
